- Acted for Toro, a global supplier of mower equipment, on its franchise network development and maintenance including acquisitions and disputes.
- Acted for Flite Board, a manufacture and distributor of hydrofoil surf boards, on its franchising network which resulted in its ultimate sale to a US listed purchaser.
- Acted for Stihl in relation to its dealer network.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
- Acted for the owner of Back in Motion, the owner and franchisor of 122 Physiotherapy Clinics, on its $125m sale to ASX listed Healthia, thereby creating the Asia Pacific Region’s largest physiotherapy group. Also assisted Back in Motion with a re-write of it’s franchise agreement pre-sale and also on regulatory and dispute matters.
- Acted for Jetts Fitness on it’s franchise system for many years and it’s ultimate sale to Private Equity player Quadrant, and then acted for the acquirer.
FOOD
- Acted for Boost Juice on its juice distribution network including its growth and its acquisition of Viva Juice. This work also included international master franchising.
- Acted for Mad Mex on its Mexican restaurant chain development under a franchise model.
- Acted for Souvlaki Hut on its restaurant chain under a franchise model.
- Acted for Wetzel’s Pretzels US franchisor in relation to its Australian master franchise agreement.
PRODUCT FRANCHISES
- Acted for or Mind Bio on its formation, acquisition of intellectual property rights from Auckland university, acquisition of a technology business and its back door listing onto the Canadian stock exchange. Mind Bio is a mental health research business in relation to micro-dosing of LSD that currently has 2 phase 2 clinical trials nearing completion.
- Acted for Wesfarmers in relation to its Coles supermarkets.
- Acted for Telstra in relation to its telecommunication shop network.
- Acted for Australian Pharmaceutical Industries on the creation and growth of its Priceline Pharmacy franchise model.
