Archer Scott is based in Australia but is connected to all of the stock markets globally.

We help our clients assess which exchange(s) globally might best suit our client.

In Australia we have only one main exchange, being the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).  In other countries there is competition in the form of several exchanges competing for business offering a different mix of regulation and liquidity.

Once listed, the ongoing disclosure obligations and directors duties and exposures mean that any listed company will need legal advice on hand.  That advice typically needs to be immediate and be capable of commerciality through fully understanding your business.  We invest that time as we consider ourselves your strategic partner, not just your law firm.  We will visit you at your locations and we will understand your business.

    Acting for Hardenbrook Group, a listed technology and life sciences merchant banking business.  Our client invested in, commercialises and brings them to life by listing them on North American exchanges.  Hardenbrook are actively looking for investment opportunities.

  • MEDICAL & RESEARCH
    Acting for Mind Bio on its formation, acquisition of intellectual property rights from Auckland university, acquisition of a technology business and its back door listing onto the Canadian stock exchange.  Mind Bio is a mental health research business in relation to micro-dosing of LSD that currently has 2 phase 2 clinical trials nearing completion.

  • VENTURE CAPITAL
    We work together with XT Ventures in respect of venture capital investment in the areas of sport, fitness, wellbeing and health.

  • AGRICULTURE
    Acted for the shareholders of Australian Lamb Company, Australia’s largest lamb processor and global exporter, on its A$400m sale to a joint venture entity between Brazilian Stock Exchange Listed, Minerva and SALIC, a Saudi Arabian public investment fund.  This transaction included FIRB and competition law considerations.
